Microwave-oven-makes-sounds-but-dont-heat-up-food, my ge profile spacemaker 2.0 started to hum a bit louder and now makes no heat. i followed the ge troubleshooting flow-chart and it points to the magnetron, but the resistance checks (continuity pin-to-pin, open pins-to-case & no sign of any arcing or cracks in magnets).. Watch the microwave during use. if there is no light when the microwave is in operation but it heats food properly without noise or odors, the bulb is burned out and should be replaced., microwave runs but does not heat. if the microwave runs but is not heating, it could be one of many components. make sure the “timer” function was not inadvertently used..
